Private Pilot

Becoming a private pilot offers the freedom to travel on your own schedule, access remote destinations, and explore new places with ease. It also builds valuable skills such as discipline, decision-making, and problem-solving, while fostering a deeper appreciation for aviation. Whether for personal enjoyment, career opportunities, or a sense of accomplishment, earning a private pilot's license can enhance both your lifestyle and your professional prospects.

- General Requirements -

• Be at least 17 years of age (16 to Solo)​

• Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Hold at least a third-class medical

• Pass FAA Knowledge and practical test

 

 

-Flight Requirements -

Have a total of 40hrs of flight time that includes at least 20hrs of flight training from an authorized instructor and 10 hrs of solo flight that include:

 

• Three hours of cross-country flight training

• Three hours of night flight training

• One cross country flight over 100nm total distance

• Ten takeoffs and landings at night

• Three hours of instrument flight training

• Ten hours of solo flight including, five hours solo cross-country time.

• One solo cross-cross country of at least 150nm total distance.

• Three takeoffs and landings at an airport with a control tower
